Board of Director President
Nina Ventra serves as the Nooga Diversity Center board of directors president. She brings nearly a decade of non profit experience to the board having worked with inner city at-risk populations, gangs and homeless families.
She is also an award winning video producer and journalist as well as a certified Offender Workforce Development Specialist.
A native of San Francisco, Nina is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Communications and Rhetoric and the College of San Mateo with a degree in ornamental horticulture.
In addition to her service to NDC, Nina has served on the board of directors for Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Police Department Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association.
She is also an advocate for those who care for or have cared a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's, having lost her mother to dementia in 2017. She runs a blog about being a caregiver: www.meandmamacita.com.
Nina is mother to Zoe, her 13-year-old dachshund with a serious attitude problem.
